Elena Panknin is one of the most recognized and sought after young artists in Germany. The master student of Professor Siegfried Anzinger at the Düsseldorf Art Academy decided early on the path of freedom to paint what she feels. Art by Elena Panknin has no boundaries, the artist herself sees herself as a border crosser. Her works give one a sense of the depths and shallows behind reality. The works of the artist, who was born in Grozny, reflect her soul. She has always lived, felt, thought and painted as a border crosser. Elena's works are an expression of the incredible intensity of her emotional and intellectual world. When she paints, she experiences her freedom - a dream from which she no longer wants to wake up.
Painting was not something Elena Panknin was born with. She first decided to study fashion design, which she completed in 2003. But it soon dawned on her that in fashion you are nowhere near as free as in art. Elena found her way to art only after the birth of her twins. She began to paint for her own relaxation and found in it the freedom to express her feelings. A friend from the art scene quickly recognized Elena's talent and advised her to attend an art academy. As a result, Elena became a guest student at the art academy in Münster and began putting together art portfolios to apply to the academy.

In 2012, she was finally accepted at the prestigious art academy in Düsseldorf. As one of the most promising students, she first switched to the class of Prof. Tal R and eventually found her way to the class of Prof. Anzinger, one of the co-founders of the Neue Wilden. As his master student, Elena Panknin graduated from the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2017.
After completing her art studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, the master student's paintings traveled around the world and were shown at exhibitions in New York City, Tokyo, Paris, Riga, Berlin, Cologne and Düsseldorf. The fashion house Breuninger engaged the artist for a large work on the occasion of the Tour de France. Exhibitions at Deutsche Bank and the private bank Merck Finck followed. Since 2021, Elena has found her new home with her family in Berlin and moved into a second studio in the upscale district of Berlin-Grundwald.
With her art, Elena Panknin does not want to give people instructions on what to think or to feel, how to act or where to stand. What is most important to the artist is that people establish a relationship with her art, that they become interested in the motifs in her works or try to discover something special in her art. Accordingly, Elena Panknin sees her art as a unique tool to communicate and build relationships with other people. When people look at her works, they can have any experience they want. This is the idea of freedom that the artist wants to convey with her works.
